Calculate the usable-solution demand
Start from a qualified commercial-product consumption and process throughput. Keep the preparation concentration and its units separate from the treatment dose. Estimate the usable stock needed over the actual operating schedule, including credible variation in demand.
For a stated mass-per-volume stock, an illustrative 3 kg per hour at 3 g per litre requires 1,000 litres per hour. This explains the calculation only; neither number is a recommended dose or preparation concentration.
Review more than dry-feeder throughput
Ask for the proposed powder instructions and review wetting, hydration, tank working volume and transfer. Include the time before a newly prepared batch is usable and the supply arrangement during changeover. A nominal tank volume does not establish continuous delivery.
Check powder flow, moisture protection and the feeder interface with the plant team. More agitation is not a universal answer to agglomeration, and incomplete stock should not be hidden by simply increasing the process dose.
Test the proposed commercial presentation
Identify the package and product code used in qualification. If a different handling format is proposed for bulk supply, review how it enters the feeder and how opened material is protected. Confirm availability of the requested package rather than assuming it from a photograph.
Record preparation observations as well as the separator result. A product that requires an unavailable procedure is not yet a ready replacement, even if its small controlled sample performed well.
Make equipment exceptions visible
List any necessary plant modification, revised concentration or operating restriction with its owner. Separate a possible future installation from the capability available for the first order. Do not count a proposed upgrade as an accomplished capacity increase.
Use sample quantity planning for equipment verification and the supply review for package identity. Approve the powder only after both the application and the usable-stock route are credible.
Purchasing evidence to keep
| Approval point | Record needed |
|---|---|
| Calculation | Commercial demand, stock basis and operating schedule support the usable-volume estimate. |
| Preparation | Wetting, hydration, changeover and transfer are assessed as separate tasks. |
| First order | Package and grade are practical with current equipment or an explicitly approved modification. |
