Map the applications separately
List each receiving plant, treatment duty, current code and installed equipment. Identify shared requirements and meaningful differences in feed, preparation water or operational constraints. A product approved at one location is a candidate elsewhere, not an automatic group-wide replacement.
Use the actual receiving process to define the trial. A centrifuge result cannot stand for a filter press, and mineral thickening evidence does not establish sludge dewatering suitability merely because both use polyacrylamide.
Keep a common evidence structure
Standardize fields for sample identity, preparation, dose basis, endpoint and limitations. This makes records comparable without forcing different processes into the same numerical acceptance target. Mark missing information as pending rather than treating a blank field as approval.
The qualification sequence can govern the decision stages while application routes preserve the local technical question. Assign an owner for the approval at each plant.
Compare demand without losing grade identity
Aggregate expected quantities only after identifying which codes are actually qualified at which locations. Keep forecasts separate from firm releases. Combined purchasing volume does not justify substituting one plant’s grade for another to simplify a shipment.
Check packaging and offloading capability at every receiving site. A format practical for one plant may be unsuitable at another, even where the product code is shared. Include those differences in the quotation scope.
Control the delivery allocation
Specify code, lot, quantity and destination for each release. Keep the receiving team’s documents associated with the material it actually gets. Avoid distributing a mixed shipment from memory or a broad family description.
Use call-off order controls and lot acceptance to retain continuity. Review local feed or equipment changes during repeated supply rather than treating central approval as permanent evidence for every location.
Purchasing evidence to keep
| Approval point | Record needed |
|---|---|
| Local scope | Each plant has its own feed, equipment and accepted operating evidence. |
| Common record | Standard fields support comparison without imposing unrelated acceptance targets. |
| Allocation | Grade, lot and quantity are assigned explicitly to the receiving destination. |
